Meet The Team

Allan Bogle
Allan is originally from Northern Ireland where he runs for City of Derry AC. In 2005 Allan was 3rd in the Northern Irish cross-country championships, and has also enjoyed success in road and mountain running and is an ex-member of the British Orienteering Squad.

This is Allan’s third year in Gran Canaria. Since arriving on the island Allan has become a valued member of C.A.I. Gran Canaria (Gran Canaria’s biggest athletics club). Last March Allan won the European leg of the K42 Mountain Marathon Series, and in November he competed against some of the world’s best mountain runners in the final in Argentina, finishing a respectable 18th.

Gordon Sutcliffe
Gordon is an all-round sports man who enjoys training and competing to test himself against his previous performances. Originally from Bedford he was previously a member of Herne Hill Harriers club and has worked as a youth soccer coach in the USA, Ghana and the UK. He has been living on Gran Canaria for 5 years and has extensive knowledge of the island. During his time on the island Gordon has competed in many 5km and 10km races, and last year set up a soccer team (which has recently been promoted).
