Port Half Marathon 2010
Race Information:
On May 16th 2010, the 6th Las Palmas Port Marathon will be held. The courses take runners around the port of Las Palmas. With Gran Canaria´s fabulous climate this race offers runners with the chance to combine sun worshipping with the chance of running a PB on this very fast course.
Included:
· Self-catering accommodation
· A personal programme based upon your current training and fitness
· Entry into the Las Palmas Port Half Marathon

· Linen and towels (but not beach towels)

Flexible optional extras:
· Airport transfers (your accomodation is 30 minutes drive from the airport)
· Organising car hire
· Training excursions (route information, maps and assistance with transport)
· Other tourist activities and excursions such as zoo, water park, surfing, etc
· Post race dinner

· Holiday Insurance
Arrival:
It is up to participants which date they arrive in Gran Canaria, dependent on your own flight arrangements. We recommend that you aim to arrive at least a few days prior to the race to help you acclimatise and get the most out of your training.
On arrival you will receive a 'welcome pack' with details of all training venues and directions. If you have any specific training requirement just send us an email and will do our best to accommodate.

Accommodation
Our accommodation is self catering apartments, right beside the fantastic urban beach of Las Canteras.
Our prices are based on two people sharing a twin bed apartment (20euros single supp).
Training venues
There are many training venues within a short distance from your accommodation, including 1000m track with an outdoor gym and of course the golden sand of Las Canteras.
ActiveCanaria also offer training excursions in the mountains, where you will train at altitude in some of the world's most stunning scenery. Whilst these excursions are not guided, you will be provided with maps and route information, and assistance with transport.
