Linnea Gustafsson Trains in Gran Canaria

Active Canaria have had the pleasure of welcoming one of the World's best females orienteers to Gran Canaria this week, Linnea Gustafsson.

In 2009 the young Swede burst onto the World orienteering scene in spectacular fashion, taking 3rd place in Sprint in the World Games in Taiwan and then by backing this up with an amazing Silver medal in the Sprint in the World Orienteering Championships in Hungry soon after!  Not wanting everyone to consider her just as a Sprint orienteer was also took 5th place in the Long at WOC and also won the Nordic Relay Championships that year.

Currently ranked 15th in the World, Linnea spent a week training (and recovery from injury) in Gran Canaria, and also found time to help Active Canaria out with a little mapping for G-COM in February.
